Beyond Band Insulators: Topology of Semi-metals and Interacting Phases (Part 2)
The second part of this paper mainly discusses the distinction between long-range and short-range entangled systems. It then uses the example of the Haldane spin-1 chain and generalizes it to define Symmetry Protected Topological (SPT) phases. Finally, it discusses the study of SPT phases using the so-called K-matrix formulation.
